Mahmoud Sakr - Postdoctoral Fellow

Mahmoud earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, BC, Canada.
His Ph.D. research focused on developing biomaterials for critical applications in bone and neural tissue engineering. Now, as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Wheeler Lab, Mahmoud leads cutting-edge research projects, including the use of optoelectronic tweezers to capture and analyze rare cells in biological samples, and the design of advanced bioreactors aimed at revolutionizing biologic drug production.
Outside the lab and driven by his passion for entrepreneurship, Mahmoud co-founded ResearchTube.Ai, a ground-breaking platform that empowers researchers by transforming their publications into engaging video summaries using AI technology. Mahmoud cherishes quality time with his family, enjoys the outdoors and exploring different cuisines.
