Yechen Hu - Postdoctoral Fellow
yechen[dot]hu[at]utoronto[dot]ca

Yechen received her Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2019, and became an instructor in Nanjing Medical University in the same year. In late 2021, she moved to Toronto to join Wheeler lab (and Gilbert lab) as a post-doctoral fellow.
Her research interests focus on developing new LC-MS-based methods for the large-scale identification of proteins and protein post-translational modifications, and applying those methods to find potential biomarkers or drug-targets in diseases. Now she is doing some research on muscle stem cells to discover the key proteins in muscle-related diseases.
In her spare time, she really enjoys playing with her hamsters (Xinxin, Qianqian and Coffee) and is always ready to travel.
